hello pple... its has been so eventful tt i will juz briefly talk abt the events...

hmm, first, it was the release of the GCE 'O' Levels results... yea, i did not do really well... in fact, i am quite disappointed with myself... need i say more??

then, Chinese New Year came by... it was not the BEST one i've had... my aunt was admitted into hospital on the first day... yep, 18/2/2007... she has been battling cancer for almost 7 years now... and now the cancer cells had spread to her brain, 2 tumours... 1 the size of a golf ball... after the doctor had done a scan on her, we realised tt her whole liver is now a cancer tumour... and, after battling for 3 days, she painlessly passed away on the 21st of February... god bless her, and PLEASE PRAY for her... It may seem pointless to say this but i really regret not doing more for her... its lyk, a job not finished...

in the blink of an eye, the 6th of March came... and the posting results were released... Nigel Leong Leng Khin (tts me) posted to NYP course code C85, Information Technology... and my JPSAE application was not successful... lyk wtf...

so, i went down to Temasek Poly.. the only poly offering the course tt i want... Culinary and Catering Management... so i go up to the person-in-charge and i could only appeal for courses tt i am eligible for...

so, i think to myself, why the f*ck is the post-secondary education system so f*cked up? u are only allowed to apply at courses u are eligible for... so, juz becuz my O levels was not so good, am i destined to be someone who does wad i DUN WANT TO DO?? i am WASTING A PLACE at NYP IT... imagine someone doing Culinary and Catering Management cause he did not get his 1st choice, wouldn't tt person be WASTING A SPACE as well? if i can do wad i WANT to do, wouldn't i be happier? and results be better? so, why can't post-secondary education be based on wad u WANT to do?

juz flaws in the system... and i hope something can be done... cuz i definitely won't want to do IT at NYP...

hello pple... blogging again... well, Friday the 13th isn't exactly the best day for anybody and i have been cursed...

hahaz... sounds damn serious but its nothing really... woke up late this morning and managed to "chao" assembly... woohoo!!! no hair check!!! guess you can call that a slice of good luck... and thats all for the good luck... i swear... things went downhill after that...

firstly, during mother tongue, my glasses broke! lyk wtf??? den suppose to go make a new one today but a certain sec 3 horn SL bastard... thks a lot! anws, gonna get a new pair tmr!!! YAY!!!

secondly, today is the last day of school for the 4Es and 5Ns... emotional day where there were only 6 classes in school... wtf right? i expected a better farewell... :P... but i had a lot of fun cuz the whole day we were making fun of everybody... especially during chem... Haiqal is seriously the worse person to hide a handphone if he is using it in class... lol... he made the ass Chng so pissed!!! "you come in late, u disturb my class, u talk so to your friends so loudly... i never say anything... now you use your phone in class? you're too much. get out!" at this pt, we all knew that the nice end to the academic year he REQUESTED before class was so not happening... but seriously, he was oredi so noisy and turned his head to look at teh back all of a sudden, thats the worse way to use handphone in class... and the half hour that he lasted in class all haiqal could say is "Chill la sir" in his typical mat tone... lolx...

and as usual, we continued to slack all the way thru PC period... and out of nowhere, we had to make a study plan!!! lyk wtf??? so i juz wrote crap and i have to say it looks very promising... lolx... but the flaw is there was only 1 copy and i handed it up... so i dun have a study plan now... its a bit dumb? no, it DAMN dumb... wth sia... and you cannot leave till you hand it up... damn dumb...

overall, it was one of the greatest / slackiest day of school i've had... and its on the last day of my SPS life... well, not bad... slack start, slack ending... long live SPS... St. Patrick's Slackers...

hey pple... blogging again... once in a blue moon, since its mid-autumn festival... the moon being full and all... actually, we see it full now, but after 2 weeks, we get disappointed again... after a month, izzit a full moon again? yes! but no mooncakes this time...

yup, today, the moon becomes a piece of cake... chocolate maybe??? give me one slice now!!!! well, being the 1/4 or 1/8 traditional chinese kinda guy, had 1/8 of a mooncake today... yea, the normal one with yolk but i absolutely think its stupid to put an egg yolk in a mooncake... but wth, i din invent it... perhaps there are many chickens in the moon tt there is an overflow of eggs... hmm... still wonder which came first, the chicken or the egg??? well, on the moon, they are wondering as well...

well, its been so long tt so many things have happened!!! and in 30 days, its my GCE O Levels English paper... lyk OMG!!! 1 month to D-Day... well, wad to do? study la... dumb qn... its usually arnd this time where there is absolutely no point in going to school... haiz... anyone with tips on how to get into study mode? pls tag and help me...

i guess that should be it for now... oh yea, 1 lesson to be learnt is to "just do it" ( apologies to Nike for using your slogan but it is really useful). back to my point, dun wait too long before doing something and regret... lyk wad is going to happen to me... so yea, good luck to everybody having exams...

In the end, i went with "Virginia" by Jacob de Haan for the sec 2s... "Alleluiah! Laudamus Te" and "Phantom of the Opera" for the sec 3 SL... well, it was rather disappointing to hear them play... furthermore, 1 asshole did not turn up... now, i am really worried abt next yr... hence, my title... well, the most i can do now is to organise sectionals to improve the technical standards of my section...

hello pple... if u r reading this, thks so much for still coming to look at my blog... lolx... well, mth much to say on my part... juz tt it has been a terrific,wonderful,joyful and all other good stuffs 4 yrs in the SPSMB... yup, good times... will miss the pple in it though... my batch, my section etc. etc. haiz... where did all the time go ?

well, we will find out on August 8th 2006... R.O.D a.k.a waterworks ceremony.... the day everybody's emotional side is shown... "keep the band gg", "you did me proud" etc. well, all these words will be said again... well, i guess the trip to hawaii really helped bond the band... hope these traditions will continue... the closeness of members... lolx... dun think dirty... :)

hey pple... yea, its term assessment again in SPS... wads the point right? we've learned at the most 2 chapters in 2006... wads wrong with a simple class test? muz the whole school be tested???

anyways, i am feeling damn down right now becuz i cannot concentrate... you noe? when you really want to study and do well, but smth is juz there stopping you frm doing so...? for me, i cannot keep my mind off someone... its juz real difficult to do so... dunno why... everytime i close my eyes, you are there in my mind... so the real reason why i am blogging is becuz i really cannot concentrate... haiz..

anyways, today was the EL and SS paper... EL was ok la... but for SS, i spent too much time on SBQs tt i was left with 10 min to do the SEQ... really stressed....!!!!!! got writers cramp frm this morning till now!!! wtf??? tmr is maths, which i hope i can do well... but for chemistry, i noe its gonna be crap!!!

anyways... i cannot be blogging all day... but juz to let you noe, mr glz requested for anyone to bring "With All Thy Might"[ Primary School SYF set piece ] score to SSS, being my ex alma mater, i went and lutfi followed... then we walked all the way to siglap starbucks... omg!!! tiring...

first of all, i m sry for a major mistake i made in my last entry... thks lutfi... secondly, it has been the hardest week of my life...

it started on monday... everything was well until full band... so boring. on tuesday, the most shocking thing happened... "someone" told me that a relationship was impossible... i juz want to let that person noe, i was seriously in love with u... but this is the second time this has happened... and i juz cannot accept it yet... u really left me very confused...

for the whole of wed and thurs up till now, i juz cannot accept it... well, on friday and saturday up till today, i am down with flu, runny nose, fever and sore throat... feeling weak, sad, confused..

today... i reported to school on time!!! hahaz... enough abt tt, i had to last through 4 periods of geography... then recess came, did not eat much...(u will noe y)... after 3 periods of art, which i slacked, it was time for 1 period of maths and we were realeased!!! met with the SYF band members and together, we went to TM for a lunch celebration for our "Gold with Honours" at the recent SYF... after prayers, we started the nice BBQ lunch at Seoul Garden... after that, a group of us went to play soccer... played with a group of "mutts"" no offense... they were damn pro la... scored dozens of goals... hit my head on the goal post, it still hurts...

hi pple!!! last night i planned to go for cathechism but overslept and woke up at 10.15... too late for a class that starts at 9.15 right? hahaz... anyways, i went back to sleep planning to go for 11.15 mass at that church... as usual, i overslept and woke up at 11.00... so i went to 12.15 mass at OLPS instead... try this, wear 3/4 pants, have a fever and sit through a 1 hour mass with air-con at 16 degrees... sucks right? haiz... after that, i went grocery shopping on my own for my dinner... went home, talked on msn and started to cook my dinner... pleased to say it was as good as before... well, after dinner, i updated my blog... which is this... hahaz... so sry, i have nth to write...

No presentation night

hi pple... heard the results of yesterday... unfortunately, we did not make it to the presentation night... top 3??? i was hoping for a top 5... haiz... i guess this year is really different... well, after the announcement of the presentation night, we were all disappointed and headed for lau pa sat for dinner... then we went to the merlion to take a few photos... then we went to esplanade roof terrace... had a lot of fun and headed home...

YES!!! SYF central judging is over... on wednesday, we repoprted to the band romm at 8.45 and did warm up... followed by more warm ups at the hall... played through the 2 pieces and went back to the band room... we had lunch and started to dress up... by this time, we realised we were an hour ahead of schedule!!! did some tuning and headed for the chapel for prayers and speeches by Mr. Lak and Ms. Chen... started to board the bus and headed for SCH... everyone was so frantic at the tuning room, after tuning, we immediately had our traditional "MARS" bar... then, it was OUR turn... we played our very best and we waited for the results... "Band number 86, St. Patrick's School, GOLD WITH HONOURS!!!" and we celebrated...

now that SYF is over, i feel less stressed... Congratulations to all schools!!!

today marked the beginning of the SYF central judging week. i counted the number of bands and slowly counted down to T.W.E... welll they did very well, received news of their GOLD WITH HONOURS... congratulations!!!! the pressure is off them and on SAS... ALL THE BEST!!! then it will come down to us!!! hope to do well!!!

haiz... today started badly... my whole section was late, and i had to setup alone... sectionals was so slacky, cannot take it... haiz wish they could cooperate with me... then full band was so boring, only mouthpiece... tired myself out... after that, full band was so fun... hope to my best for 13/4/05... after band, a few of us stayed back to sight-read pieces and it was damn bloody tiring...

today was a fun day, had founders day which ended 1 hour earlier than expected... aftre that had band prac on the 2 SYF pieces which were to performed at the school hall for speech day... the performance was "ok" but could see everyone else thought it was "WOW"... hope to make it the best on 13/4/05... and once again, thank you Kenneth for re-doing my blog...

today was so fun... i woke up early in the morning to go for band prac. had SLACKtionals(oops)... when we packed up, i was surpised that lunch was from 10-11.45.... hahaz... branch??? no... but nonetheless, we still went to 57 and bought carrot cake... came back and talked cock!!! after this, we went to SCH for a rehearsal of 8 schools in 4 hrs... din perform as well as expected but did my best..."AIM FOR PERFECTION!!!" haiz... hope i can do tt on 13/04/2005!!!after returning form SCH, we went to BK and had dinner... Meroy suggested we go Macs before heading home, so Meroy,James,Lutfi and me went to macs for 1/2 hr... hahaz... slacked and did not buy anything... after that, i returned home and my mom also returned from BKK.. bought a lot of stuff...

haiz... today, i reported to school @ 7.00am juz to put my bag in the classroom... after assembly, we went to the hall for the 72nd annniversary of the opening day of St. Pats... after the service, it was chemistry... followed by boring art... and 4 boring periods of Errol Chang... then glosz toook us for full band... i juz hope that SAS will make their version of 7th night the worse ever played... For we are SPSMB!!! we are a cut above the rest... wadeva the results, all the best to both bands... haiz... today, i learnt about the most shocking thing... however, it shall not be mentioned on my blog...

on friday, i started the day by meeting Benjamin in church for carolling and missed band prac becuz of tt... after the rehearsal, we left and headed for Pasir Ris Interchange to meet Alan... after we met alan, we waited for Madeni... After we met Madeni, we took 359 to hilmi's house for the stayover. After we reached hilmi's house, we waited for lutfi, choon kiat, nic tan, haikal and jeremy leong. We chatted for a while and then went to eat dinner... After dinner, we went home, and sang karaoke!!! all malay songs so i did not sing... we then took 359 to Pasir Ris Town Park and lepak... then a flightless bird suggested we go pasar malam and so we did... we bought some food and went back to watch movies... We watched "white chicks" and "scary movie 2" then we went to 7-11 to buy some snacks to get ready for SCARY STORIES!!!! we made a lot of noise and Alan stole 1 crunchie!!! hahaz... we went back and had our fair share of ghost stories... by this time, it was 4 plus and we stayed awake juz to break the previous day's record... to sleep @ 5.24am... and so we did... Choon Kiat slept alone on a single sofa... Benjamin slept on a small sofa and rested his leg on alan's... Lutfi, Alan and Nic Tan slept on a 3 and 2 seater...Madeni and Hilmi slept in the room while Haikal and me shared a long sofa... Becuz Alan was giving massage to every1 who wanted one, we all rested our legs on his but i was supporting his... but the main thing was tt we were seperated... and i thought the sleepover could bring us closer but it did not... In the morning, Alan and I woke up at 10.15 to watch Powerpuff Girls... Then slowly, everyone woke up and we talk till 1.30... all of us except Hilmi went to White Sands to eat lunch and headed home... We were suppose to meet at Raimah's but i was too mad at someone who got PMS to go...

well, i guess i am glad tt Hilmi invited me to the sleepover... It made me get closer to pple...

Hi!!! i attended the QYOWS concert yesterday... they played many great pieces which included "Fantasy Variations"!!! its was so good... i envy their horn section... after the concert, i met may and passed here the "Hanover" scores... She looked like an angel that god had sent... We went to eat at "lau pa sat"... Then, pple left without me and i had to run all the way from "lau pa sat" to Raffles Place MRT Station... haiz... so tiring... when i alighted at my station, i had to walk all the way... Again so tiring... reached home at 1... tts why i could not wake up to help at VCH... sry!!!

sorry for not updating... i have been very busy... with the QYO and all... haiz... still i had the time to make frens with May(SAJC).... she is so cool... a very good fren... today, we went cycling to kill time before the QYO performance... however... the performance was CANCELLED!!!! haiz... we cycled anyways... after lyk an hour, it started to rain heavily and we all got drenched...! good thing there was shelter at SAFRA... when the rain stopped, we cycled back and had a light dinner at McDonalds even though we were freezing... Then, a small bastard threw away a nice and HOT "Chicken Foldover"... ASS!!! but wads done cannot be undone... anyways, we all had a good time and thats the most important thing...

when u ask pple for their opinion... they give u 1 answer and stick to it... i got 'no' for an answer and the next day, he said 'yes'... i did wad i was not sure about and i was rejected... "the closest we can be is close friends" was the answer i got... i guess i should have juz kept my mouth shut... however "love should not be kept bottled inside"... i guess i learnt this lesson the hard way... but i want you to know..."you may not love me but you cannot stop me from loving you..."

i dunno wad to put... i guess i am updating becuz of my fren... but today was quite fun... sectionals was "fun" becuz Silver Jubilee Overture was ok only... the worse part was the double time for the slow part... then, during Best of Queen, i had to subdivide and the sec 1 still could not get it... and he will be in the SYF band next year... haiz... i guess its a challenge... i will try my best!!!!

yesterady, we had to report at 945 for band with the sec 1s... it did not go that well... silver jubilee was "ok" blue ridge saga was suppose to be sightread but i played a little bit of it before and so it was not so difficult... however meroy went too bloody slow!!! haiz... after lunch, we had full band on "Flower Power","Best of Queen", "Moulin Rouge","Big Fun","Elton John" and "Hanover Festival". All the time James was complaining about his sore eye he got in the morning. Today, i slept till 12 and had lunch and watched tv...

haiz... as monday was a holiday, there was no band!!! u could not imagine was how "happy" i was... stayed at home and watched tv the whole day...on wednesday, i bastarded james by leaving him alone with the sec 1s... din noe wad happened but i was quite sure he did a good job... As he was taking sectionals, 9 of us were watching "princess diaries 2"... it was very funny!!! on friday, Mr Glosz took our band full band on Hanover!!! of course, Christopher and Frank left on a holiday to CHINA. Only left james and me... the Hanover solo was played by me... it was ok only... the worse part is that i have to play the solo on the 27th!!! during the Paragon performance... Haiz... hope our band can be ready for the performance!!!

There was this boy who would do anything to fufill his dream... To perform a solo on the stage of Carnegie Hall.

Day after day passed, all he played was the Horn Concerto no.1 in Eb Major. On the day he was to submit the application form, a hurricane hit his whole village and he lost his right arm as a result.

Since then, he gave up hope about his dream of his Carnegie Hall solo. Many of his friends saw the big change in him and persuaded him not to give up even though they knew that the right arm was needed to lift the horn.
